A recent investigation by Marketplace has revealed a disturbing trend: some of the most popular online fast fashion retailers are selling clothes and accessories contaminated with dangerous levels of lead, PFAS, and phthalates.

As a matter of fact, CBC Marketplace ordered 38 children's, adult's and maternity clothes from fast-fashion websites and found that one in five items had elevated levels of chemicals, including lead, phthalates and PFAS.
